A structured 10-week programme teaching doctors, nurses, radiologists, and public health professionals to confidently integrate AI into clinical practice — grounded in African healthcare realities, the Kenya Data Protection Act, and internationally accredited by KMPDC, AMA, and GMC.
Real-time diagnostic assistance helping Kenyan clinicians make faster, more accurate decisions at the point of care.
Training clinicians to confidently interpret AI-generated insights from X-rays, CT scans, MRI, and ultrasound.
Multidisciplinary teams across Kenya and East Africa collaborating on cases, ethics, and published AI research.
From brain scan AI analysis to interventional cardiology — specialist training for Kenya's most complex clinical environments.
AI diagnostic tools, clinical decision support systems, and automated monitoring are being deployed across Kenyan hospitals right now — but most healthcare professionals have received no training on how to use them safely and effectively.
AMZ bridges that gap with courses built by clinicians, for clinicians. No coding. No maths. Just practical, role-specific training that makes you confident with AI on day one.

Enroll NowAMZ is more than a learning platform — it is an active research community. Starting from Week 10's capstone, learners form teams, access clinical datasets, and publish peer-reviewed medical AI research alongside our academic and clinical partners across East Africa.
Create or join research groups of up to 6 clinicians across specialties. Collaborate in real time with shared workspaces, data, and communication tools.
Work with fully anonymised, ethics-approved clinical datasets from partner hospitals — including imaging, EHR records, and genomic data — for your research.
Submit your research for internal peer review by our academic board. Top papers receive support for submission to indexed international medical AI journals.
Research teams are matched with faculty mentors from our academic board to guide methodology, strengthen methodology, and support international publication.
Outstanding research earns publication credits, distinction certificates, and ranking upgrades on the platform leaderboard — recognised by our academic partners.
Apply AI research to real clinical challenges in Kenyan healthcare — from malaria detection to maternal health AI — with measurable patient outcome impact.
Register, verify your healthcare credentials, and unlock your access to the 10-week curriculum and the AI Sandbox.
Progress through modules released weekly — from AI fundamentals to ethics, imaging, public health, NLP, and your capstone project.
Complete your Week 10 capstone project, present to our expert panel, and earn your internationally accredited KMPDC · AMA · GMC certificate.
Every module in the 10-week programme is grounded in African healthcare realities — from Kiswahili NLP to the Kenya Data Protection Act 2019, the CARE framework, and public health simulations using real outbreak data.
Enrol in the Programme"The Radiology AI course changed how I work. I now use AI tools to double-check my reads and have caught lesions I would previously have missed. My KMPDC CPD points were credited automatically — brilliant."
"I joined a research team through the platform and we co-authored a paper on AI malaria screening — submitted to a WHO-linked journal. I never imagined I could do this as a nurse."
"The AI Ethics course is mandatory reading for any Kenyan clinician. The section on patient consent under Kenyan law is particularly valuable. My GMC certificate arrived the same day I finished."
"I ranked 2nd on the leaderboard last month and received a commendation letter from the academic board. The research hub helped me connect with a faculty mentor for my postgrad thesis."
"As a postgraduate student, this platform is invaluable. The research datasets and faculty mentorship programme are world-class — and my AMA certificate was worth every minute."
The programme covers: Week 1 — AI & ML fundamentals in African healthcare contexts. Week 2 — Data science & statistics (AUC-ROC, sensitivity, African data gaps). Week 3 — ML basics, supervised & unsupervised learning. Week 4 — AI ethics through decolonised and African lenses (Ubuntu, CARE framework, WHO/EU AI Act). Week 5 — Data handling, Kenya Data Protection Act 2019, federated learning. Week 6 — Diagnostic algorithms & CDSS, malaria AI case study. Week 7 — Medical imaging AI: radiology, pathology, ophthalmology, obstetric ultrasound. Week 8 — Public health AI, outbreak prediction, cholera simulation. Week 9 — NLP, LLMs, Kiswahili NLP for clinical use. Week 10 — AI regulation, Kenya National AI Strategy, and capstone presentations to an expert panel.
No. The curriculum is built for clinicians, not data scientists. AI and ML concepts are explained using clinical analogies — "training data" is like a junior doctor learning from cases; "algorithm" is like a diagnostic protocol. Weeks 1–3 (Foundations) require zero programming or maths background, and the entire programme is designed so any healthcare professional can follow along.
AMZ completion certificates are recognised by: Kenya Medical Practitioners & Dentists Council (KMPDC) for CPD points; the American Medical Association (AMA) for CME credits; the General Medical Council (UK) as listed CPD; and aligned with WHO health workforce learning standards. Learners who complete the Week 10 capstone and present to the expert panel receive an additional distinction certificate co-signed by our academic board.
In Week 10 learners complete an applied capstone project — using AI in a clinical scenario of their choosing — and present findings to our expert panel. From there, learners can form or join a research team of up to 6 members, access anonymised clinical datasets, and receive mentorship from our academic board. Completed research can be submitted for peer review and potential publication in indexed medical AI journals.
